Making LloydsDirect your preferred or nominated pharmacy

Make LloydsDirect your preferred pharmacy so we can receive electronic prescriptions from your GP.

Updated over a week ago

To order medicine through LloydsDirect, we need to be your preferred pharmacy. This lets us request and receive prescriptions from your GP.

There are 2 ways to make us your preferred pharmacy:

  • log in and follow the prompts to Switch to LloydsDirect

  • place your first order, and we’ll automatically become your preferred pharmacy

Your preferred pharmacy is where your GP sends your electronic prescriptions, so you don’t need to pick up a paper prescription. The NHS calls this your nominated pharmacy.

You choose who is your preferred pharmacy, and you can change it by:

  • registering at a new pharmacy

  • asking at your GP surgery

  • updating it in the NHS app

You don’t need to tell your GP when you change your preferred pharmacy, they’ll see it in the NHS system. But you can always let your GP know if you’d like to.
